Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and sole child one of Richard McCormick. Her father worked as a school teacher while her mother was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three older brothers. Beginning at a very early stage of life, McCormick loved to sing and dance and would often put on puppet shows for youngsters in the area. She won her first contest, the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 and was contacted via Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to be a part of the business of show production. Her first major role came during 1964, which was when she appeared in a television commercial featuring Mattels new Baby Pattaburp doll. The following year she starred in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial which was later adapted for The Wind It up and It's Broken by the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children to play the eldest daughter to be a part of The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed newlyweds, who shared the same family as a blended one. The show lasted five years. McCormick's book Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in the year 2008. In it she revealed that McCormick was close to losing her virginity on set of the series during the fifth season when it was played by Barry Williams. The actress was only 16 at the time; he was 19. It would have happened she stated, but the time wasn't right for us.
